Usage Policy

Gogoa works because buyers post what they genuinely want and sellers respond with real vehicles. This page sets out what that means in practice. Breaking these rules can cost you your account.

Post real desires

A desire must describe a vehicle you actually intend to buy, with a budget you intend to honour. Placeholder listings, market research, and posts made to harvest seller contact details are not permitted.

Offer vehicles you actually have

Only make an offer on a vehicle you own or are authorised to sell, and describe it accurately — mileage, condition, history and price. Bait offers, and switching the vehicle after a buyer responds, are grounds for removal.

Keep the conversation on the deal

Messages are for discussing the vehicle. No unsolicited advertising, no recruiting for other services, no bulk or automated messaging, no repeated contact after someone has declined.

No harassment or discrimination

Threats, abuse, and refusing to deal with someone on the basis of race, religion, sex, disability, family status or national origin are not tolerated. Vehicle sales are covered by anti-discrimination law in most places we operate.

No fraud

Advance-fee requests, payments diverted off-platform under false pretences, fake escrow services, forged documents, and odometer tampering are criminal in most jurisdictions and will be reported as well as removed.

Respect other people's data

Contact details you receive through Gogoa are for that transaction only. Do not add them to mailing lists, resell them, or scrape listings in bulk.

One account per person

Do not create additional accounts to evade a suspension, inflate your reputation, or post the same desire repeatedly.

Reporting and enforcement

Every listing has a report link, and you can reach us from the Contact page. We review reports and may remove content, suspend accounts, or refuse service. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond — except where the activity is clearly fraudulent or unlawful.

This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service. Where the two overlap, the Terms govern.
